My lashes used to be something that really bothered me. They were so short and gappy that they were barely noticeable even though I used to layer up about 8 coats of mascara! About 9 months ago I discovered an absolute miracle product and wanted to share it with you today!
That product is … Lilash! Lilash is an eyelash enhancing serum that promises to give you longer, thicker lashes in just six weeks.
I apply this every night to my top lashline, similar to how you would apply a thin line of liquid liner. You only need to apply a thin line of the product as using too much can make it run into your eyes which can slightly sting! My eyes are very sensitive and I do get eczema occasionally on my eyelids, but luckily this serum does not irritate my eyes if I apply it correctly.
Within a month of using Lilash my lashes were so much longer and thicker that even friends and family could notice a big difference. The photo below was taken after 6 weeks of everyday use (sorry about the quality, it was the only one I could find!).
Honestly I think the before and after photos really speak for themselves. I am unbelievably happy with the way my lashes are looking at the moment! I feel like it’s really changed the way I look, especially in photos. I use way less mascara now and it takes me 2 minutes to do my lashes in the morning as opposed to the 10ish minutes it used to take me to pile on the coats of mascara.
It is expensive, it costs £108 for a 6 month supply or £62 for 3 months worth, but for me it is worth every penny. Before I tried Lilash I was so unhappy with my lashes that I was considering getting eyelash extensions which could’ve ended up costing me at least £40 per month!
The only down side to this product is that once you stop using it your lashes will return to their normal growth cycle and the long lashes you have will gradually fall out.
Another amazing product that has helped my lashes has been Benefit’s They’re Real primer. I apply this everyday before I apply my mascara. It contains Vitamin B5, which conditions the lashes and just helps to protect them from the mascara. I ran out of this for a few weeks and found that during this time a lot more lashes fell out when I removed my makeup. It also makes your mascara apply better, creates more lash separation and gives the lashes more length, so it’s an all round winner for me.
